November 2009: Roughly 10,000 Future Professionals took to the streets on October 14 for the Paul Mitchell Schools’ nationwide Free Hugs Day. Check out the event that generated millions of smiles and nonstop media attention!


October 2009: Future Professional Gabrielle Hennessey and staff member Paloma Dean-St. Germain from Paul Mitchell The School – Virginia produced this video to show how Paul Mitchell Schools are shattering stereotypes about hairstylists.


August 2009: Paul Mitchell The School – Salt Lake City's video won the “It’s Groovy to Be Green” contest and earned them a day of education with a Paul Mitchell Artistic Director.


July 2009: After assisting in salons for three years, 33-year-old Michael Snider knew he wanted a life in hairstyling. He graduated from Paul Mitchell The School – Santa Barbara in August 2009 and created this video and wrote the accompanying song to show what he can do and where he wants to go.


June 2009: After years in a Vietnamese concentration camp, Mai Hammond's father built a small boat and escaped to Malaysia with three-month-old Mai and their family of eight. They came to America where Mai grew up, became class valedictorian, graduated from college with a 4.0 average, and spent several years in sales and marketing before following her heart to Paul Mitchell The School – Orlando .


May 2009: Seth Willis of the Ohio Academy – A Paul Mitchell Partner School in Columbus, Ohio, brings a cinematic feel to his video résumé, making it interesting for everyone (even those who don't know much about hair).
